By accessing or using https://compressimageweb.com (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Compress Image provides free online tools to compress, convert and resize images such as JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC. The tools run in your web browser, and your images are processed on your own device. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

You must be old enough to form a binding agreement where you live. If you are under the age of majority, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

You keep all rights to the images you process. We claim no ownership over them and, because processing happens in your browser, we do not receive them.

You are responsible for making sure that you:

• own the images you process or have permission to use and modify them;
• do not use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful or infringing; and
• comply with the rules of any platform where you later share the output.

You agree not to:

• interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers or its networks;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service;
• use bots, scrapers or automated means to place excessive load on the Service;
• copy, resell or redistribute the Service or its code as your own product without our written permission; or
• use the Service to process content that is illegal where you live.

The Service is free and does not require an account. To keep it fast for everyone, the tools may apply limits such as the number of files per batch or a maximum size per file (currently up to 5 images at a time, up to 20MB each). Limits may change. Actual performance depends on your device and browser.

Compression reduces file size and, depending on the settings you choose, may change image quality or format. Results vary by image, and we do not guarantee that an output will reach a specific file size or meet the requirements of a particular website, form or platform. Please keep a copy of your original files and check the output before you rely on it.

The Service, including its design, branding, text, graphics and code, is owned by Compress Image or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for your own images and the output you create, nothing in these terms gives you any right to use our name, logo or content without prior written permission.

The Service may display advertising and may link to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products or practices. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compress Image and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it will not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to defend and hold harmless Compress Image and its owners from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe these terms have been broken or to protect the Service and its users. You may stop using the Service at any time.

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the latest revision. By continuing to use the Service after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the owner’s place of residence or business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
